Merger and acquisition strategy is an alternative to an external expansion. With the merger of two companies or more, it will be more likely to support each other business activities and gain greater profits. This research is an event study is conducted to determine whether mergers and acquisitions decisions significantly affect the stock price and trading volume. The purpose of this study was to see the market reaction in the form of changes in stock prices and trading volume of shares on the occurrence of mergers and acquisitions.
